OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – Authorities say a 13-year-old girl from Ocala was found safe a short time after a Florida Amber Alert was issued.
Marion County Sheriff’s deputies say Juliet Arioso, 13, of Ocala, was found shortly before 6 p.m. and taken to safety. Additional details of the recovery have yet to be released publicly by the sheriff’s office.
A large law enforcement presence is on U.S. Highway 441 in Belleview. A vehicle resembling the Hyundai image sheriff’s deputies released can be seen wrecked in a ditch.
Witnesses tell TV20 gunshots were heard as deputies responded.
FDLE officials said Juliet disappeared from the area of Southwest 27th Avenue in the Shady Road Villas community on Monday.
She was believed to be in the company of Jason Castillo, 45, of Ocala.
