The Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA) is throwing in behind Republican candidates in every race possible next month, with the exception of a House race where only Democrats are running.
The group is backing Sens. Clay Yarborough and Jennifer Bradley for re-election in Senate District 4 and Senate District 5, respectively.
Speaker-designate Sam Garrison is the choice in House District 11, with fellow Republican Reps. Kiyan Michael, Dean Black and Jessica Baker the choices in House District 15, House District 16 and House District 17, respectively.
Jacksonville City Councilman Terrance Freeman is also the group’s selection to replace exiting Speaker Pro Tempore Wyman Duggan in House District 12. Freeman has a massive financial advantage against his Democratic opponent, Ben Sandlin.
NEFBA did not endorse in the House District 13 Democratic battle between former Senate caucus leader Audrey Gibson and lawyer Leslie Jean-Bart, but the group is supporting incumbent Kimberly Daniels in House District 14. Daniels faces Rhian Tutson in August, and the winner will be automatically elected as no one else qualified for the ballot.
The group is also backing Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Commander Deborah Wesley in her Jacksonville City Council at-large Group 1 Special Election contest against Democrat Mone Holder and Libertarian Addison Patrick.
Outside of Duval County, the GOP lean continues. NEFBA backs the re-election of Reps. Kim Kendall in House District 18, Sam Greco in House District 19 and Judson Sapp in House District 20.
Kendall hails from St. Johns County, Greco from Flagler, and Sapp from Clay.

NEFBA represents industry interests in Duval, St. Johns, Clay, Nassau, Baker, Putnam and Bradford counties.
