Several people displaced by house fire in Lantana

Several people were displaced by a house fire in Lantana.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said on Monday, July 27, at 2 p.m., it dispatched personnel to the 1000 block of Pinetree Drive to a reported structure fire.

When Fire Rescue crews arrived at the scene, they found a residence with smoke coming from the front door and the rear of the building.

Fire Rescue crews conducted a rapid search to ensure there were no occupants inside. Multiple units used hose lines to bring the fire under control. No injuries were reported and the American Red Cross was contacted to assist seven people displaced by the fire.

The Red Cross said its disaster-trained team helped coordinate emergency aid to three adults impacted by the fire.

“The Red Cross is providing emergency financial assistance, health and mental health services, one-on-one support to connect people to available recovery assistance and will continue to provide additional support to the family to meet their disaster-caused needs,” the Red Cross said in a statement on WPBF 25 News on Monday night.

Fire Rescue said its investigators were at the scene determining the origin and cause of the fire.
