Jacksonville ISD Superintendent Brad Stewart will retire after 30 years, with the board beginning its search for his successor to ensure a smooth transition.

JACKSONVILLE, Texas — Jacksonville ISD Superintendent Brad Stewart announced he will be retiring at the end of this year. 

Stewart, who has served the district for 30 years, intends to begin a well-earned retirement and enjoys more time with his family, Jacksonville ISD said in a Facebook post. 

The board of trustees will soon start the process of picking the district’s next superintendent. JISD said the transition will be smooth and seamless as the district continues to move forward.
