Photographer @bioreconstruct shared more photos of the demolition of Poseidon’s Fury at Universal Islands of Adventure, this time from the ground.
The Lost Continent Demolition

Bio’s last photos, taken from the air, showed what remained of the attraction’s climactic Chamber of Poseidon. These pictures take a side view of the chamber, where we can see a catwalk hanging from the ceiling.
Twisted metal and other debris dangle from the edges of the exterior walls. Though it’s hard to compare and contrast to the aerial photos, it looks like more of that debris has been removed in the past few days, but more of the building itself has not been torn down.
Bio also shared a photo of demolition outside Mythos Restaurant. Though construction walls have encroached on the restaurant and trees were removed from outside, it is not scheduled to close until next year. A snack stand outside Mythos has closed, however.
A themed directional sign has been removed from outside the restaurant. On the left is the sign from a few days ago, and on the right is the area now.
Universal has not announced what will replace The Lost Continent. What new land are you hoping for? Let us know on social media.
