Chess Queens Crown Table Receives 25 Chess Sets Ahead of Inaugural Women’s & Girls Community Open

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL – July 2026 – The momentum behind growing chess opportunities throughout Florida’s Treasure Coast continues as Chess Queens Crown Table (CQCT) proudly announces the arrival of 25 donated chess sets from The Gift of Chess, a national nonprofit organization committed to making chess accessible to communities around the world.

The donation arrives in support of the upcoming Inaugural Chess Queens Crown Table Women’s & Girls Community Open, a US Chess-rated tournament taking place Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Panera Bread in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

More than tournament equipment, these chess sets represent new opportunities for community members to learn, connect, and experience the benefits of chess. The donated sets will support CQCT’s ongoing initiatives, including beginner instruction, family chess gatherings, educational programming, and future community outreach efforts.

Founded on the belief that chess can create pathways for education, confidence, connection, and opportunity, The Gift of Chess is working toward its goal of placing one million chess sets into communities worldwide by 2030.

The Inaugural Chess Queens Crown Table Women’s & Girls Community Open will feature US Chess-rated sections designed for players of varying experience levels while celebrating competition, sportsmanship, learning, and community.
