COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — South Carolinians will bid farewell to Sen. Lindsey Graham, one of South Carolina’s most prominent political leaders.
Graham, who served four terms in the U.S. Senate, will make his final trip to the South Carolina State House before a funeral service in Columbia.
The funeral procession will begin on the south side of the South Carolina State House and travel to the north steps through the West Walkway.
Graham’s remains will be carried by the South Carolina State Guard caisson detachment, followed by a tribute from law enforcement agencies across the state.
An F-16 flyover by the 169th Fighter Wing from McEntire Joint National Guard Base will take place around 11 a.m., before the procession travels down Main Street to First Baptist Church of Columbia for the funeral service.

The political world gathered Tuesday at the U.S. Capitol to honor the life and legacy of the late Sen. Lindsey Graham.
Political leaders, family members, friends, and former staff gathered in the Capitol Rotunda to pay their respects before Graham’s funeral services in South Carolina.
After the Rotunda service, Graham’s body was taken to Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., where speakers honored him, including President Donald Trump.
Graham represented South Carolina in the U.S. Senate from 2003 until his death, previously serving four terms in the U.S. House, where he was elected in 1994.
A Pickens County native, Graham earned a law degree from the University of South Carolina and served for more than 30 years in the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserve before retiring as a colonel in 2015.
