PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — A man allegedly had one too many after authorities said he crashed into a liquor store last Friday night.

According to the Port St. Lucie Police Department, Jimy Alvarenga Ramirez crashed the front of his SUV into 3rd Base Liquors before fleeing the scene on foot.

After the crash, witnesses provided a description of the driver, allowing officers to review surveillance footage and locate Alvarenga Ramirez several blocks away, where police said he was attempting to hide.

Alvarenga Ramirez was booked on the following charges:

DUI with property damageLeaving the scene of a crashResisting an officer without violenceDriving without a valid Florida driver’s license

No one was injured in the crash. Alvarenga Ramirez was booked into the St. Lucie County Jail.
