Florida Forest Service monitors 3,900-acre wildfire in Broward County; smoke may enter Palm Beach County
BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. —
The Florida Forest Service is monitoring a wildfire in Broward County.
The Florida Forest Service said the Holey Land fire has burned 3,900 acres in northwestern Broward County in the Everglades.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the Forest Service said the fire was 20% contained.
The Florida Forest Service is tracking a wildfire in the Everglades that has burned 3,900 acres and is 20% contained. Smoke from the fire may linger into southern and central Palm Beach County.

WPBF 25 First Warning Meteorologist Cris Martinez noted the fire could bring the smell of smoke briefly to portions of south and central Palm Beach County over the next several hours before winds become light and variable after sunset.
