Miami, FL – Andrew Tate is alleging he is being held in poor conditions at a Miami federal detention center as he remains in custody while contesting extradition to the United Kingdom.
Tate has used posts published on his X account by members of his legal team to describe conditions inside the Federal Detention Center in downtown Miami.
In one post, he referred to the facility as having the “worst possible conditions” and claimed he is housed in a special housing unit.
He also alleged he has limited access to clean drinking water and described other living conditions he considers unsafe.
Federal officials have not commented directly on Tate’s specific allegations but have stated that the facility’s drinking water meets all applicable safety standards.
Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan Tate, were arrested in Miami on July 18 after the United Kingdom requested their extradition.
British prosecutors have charged the brothers with multiple offenses, including alleged rape, human trafficking, assault and other crimes.
The brothers deny all allegations and are contesting extradition.
The brothers are expected to remain in federal custody until at least August 13th, when a judge is scheduled to hold a detention hearing to determine whether they should be released on bond while extradition proceedings continue.
Prosecutors have argued the extradition process could take several months to complete.
Tate’s attorney, Joseph McBride, said the brothers communicate with their legal team during attorney visits and that those conversations are later shared publicly on social media because they do not have direct access to their accounts while incarcerated.
The case remains pending in federal court as both brothers continue to challenge the extradition request.
