Miami-Dade County will be offering free back-to-school vaccines at clinics throughout the area, just before classes start back up on Aug. 13.
The initiative is part of a “collaborative effort” between the Florida Department of Health and Community Health Centers, according to a social media post by Miami-Dade Public Schools. Participating clinics throughout the area will be offering “free back-to-school immunizations” on Saturday, Aug. 8.
A full list of required immunizations by grade level is available on the Florida Department of Health’s website.
Eleven total clinics will be participating. Miami-Dade Schools provides a chart with their names, addresses, hours and information on whether appointments are recommend or required.
