King’s Landing development in Fort Pierce moves forward with construction milestones
FORT PIERCE, Fla. —
The King’s Landing development project in downtown Fort Pierce is advancing, with construction milestones bringing excitement to the community and local business owners.
Brooke Harris, Team Lead of the Beachfront Brooke Team powered by Keller Williams Realty, shared updates on the progress. “They’re almost done with Villa’s 9 and 10, and then the foundation has already been in for 7 and 8,” Harris said. She added that two residences have been sold and are nearing completion.
The project features ten luxury villas, condos, retail spaces, restaurants, a parking garage, and a hotel. “We’ll have the Marriott Hotel, which they have signed an agreement with, so that’s great,” Harris said.
Officials emphasized the project’s location in the waterfront district near the city marina and historic downtown. “It’s waterfront, and it’s connecting downtown to Edgartown, so it gives you that walkability factor to go down to shopping, restaurants, retail, and also, if you have a boat, you can store it right here at the marina,” Harris said.

Michelle Chaffee Cavalcanti, executive director of Main Street Fort Pierce, highlighted the significance of the development for the city. “It matters a lot. It’s got the potential to have a lot of impact on our businesses, bringing in visitors, having our locals have somewhere for our families to stay when they come. But also, just being a destination where people can come walk, shop, live, and play,” Chaffee Cavalcanti said.
Business owners are optimistic about the benefits of having more residents in the downtown area, especially with most amenities within walking distance. “Well, it makes a huge impact because if you can just walk everywhere, it means that you can not only just walk to a restaurant, but you can walk into another business afterwards and shop and get information,” Chaffee Cavalcanti said.
She added, “It becomes an experience and not just a singular destination.”
Officials said the estimated completion date is November 2029.
