Actor Orlando Bloom is off the market. The Pirates of the Caribbeanstar quietly went Instagram official with his new girlfriend, Swiss model Luisa Laemmel, earlier this week.
While the pair have hardly kept their budding relationship private, Bloom wasn’t quick to share info on the couple’s status publicly. That is, until he posted a very telling picture on Instagram.
Before you start scrolling through Bloom’s feed looking for a cute couple’s portrait…stop. You won’t find it. The actor went low-key with this reveal and buried the shot at the end of a series. And no, the carousel wasn’t filled with photos from the duo’s PDA-packed beach romp in Italy.
Instead, Bloom’s post features pics from a night with the iconic Andrea Bocelli where the actor was recognized by the Andrea Bocelli Foundation for his ongoing contributions as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and advocacy for education.
Along with pics of Bloom on stage and clips of Bocelli doing what he does best (of course, singing), the actor snuck in a shot of himself and presumably his girlfriend, Laemmel. The end-of-the-carousel photo features two shadows—one of a man and one of a woman—standing side by side with their heads touching.
While most of the comments applauded Orlando (and Andrea Bocelli), a few eagle-eyed fans caught the Instagram announcement, with one writing, “That last picture with Luisa”
Who is Orlando Bloom’s girlfriend?
Fans first noticed the new couple at the Super Bowl earlier this year. While rumors swirled and fans speculated that the pair were indeed dating, neither went public with an official announcement. In March, Bloom did include a single shot (in the middle of a longer carousel of photos), featuring a woman’s hand touching a purple flower. And while fans thought it could be Laemmel, the supposed couple was still playing coy. But now it seems like they’re ready to show their relationship off to the world.
Bloom and his new love did more than attend the Andrea Bocelli Foundation event while in Italy. The pair were spotted at Alpemare Beach in Forte dei Marmi enjoying a playful day of sand and surf. The paparazzi snapped plenty of pics as a very-coupled-up Bloom and Laemmel cuddled in the ocean.
Luisa Laemmel is a 28-year-old Swiss model. That makes 49-year-old Bloom almost 20 years her senior. Now based in New York City, Laemmel was raised in Zurich and started modeling in her teens. According to her Instagram bio, she also has a Bachelor of Science in psychology!
