Alligator Alley to go cashless on Monday
The I-75 stretch runs 80 miles across Florida
BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. —
Starting Monday, tolls on Interstate 75’s Alligator Alley will be cashless.
The Florida Department of Transportation’s SunPass Facebook page posted about the change earlier this week.

Drivers along the 80-mile stretch will be able to pay with SunPass, any other accepted transponder in Florida or Toll-By-Plate, FDOT said.
Alligator Alley connects Broward County and Collier County.
Alligator Alley has two main toll plazas: the East Toll Plaza (Mile Post 25) and the West Toll Plaza (Mile Post 100).
These are the toll costs:
2 axle − $3.18 3 axle − $6.36 4 axle − $9.54 5 axle − $12.72 Additional axles − $3.18.
Alligator Alley officially opened for traffic on Feb 11, 1968, after four years of construction. It was originally built as a two-lane toll road named the Everglades Parkway (State Road 84) before later being expanded and designated as part of Interstate 75.
Interstate 75 goes about 1,800 miles from the Miami area to the Canadian border.
