Shooting reported at house in Port St. Lucie
Police believe it was domestic-related.
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. —
The Port St. Lucie Police Department is investigating what the agency says appears to be a domestic-related shooting Saturday night.
The agency posted on Facebook it occurred in the 2000 block of SE Oxmoor Terrace, west of U.S. 1 and near HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital.

Police said the incident appears to be isolated, and there is no known threat to the public.
“This remains a very active and ongoing investigation,” the agency posted. “As detectives continue to gather information, the facts and circumstances may evolve.”

Residents should expect a heavy police presence in the area of Southeast Triumph Road and Southeast Veterans Memorial Parkway.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes if possible to allow first responders and investigators to safely conduct their work, police said.
