HILLSBOROUGH, Fla. (WWSB) – Two men were arrested after Hillsborough County sheriff’s detectives found a reported stolen vehicle and recovered illegal drugs, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives were alerted to the stolen vehicle near Fowler Avenue around 11:18 p.m. Saturday, August 1, according to the sheriff’s office.
A short time later, detectives found the vehicle at the West Wing Motel.
Investigators said they saw 39-year-old Casey Cregan get in and out of the stolen vehicle before getting into the passenger seat of another nearby vehicle.
Deputies then stopped the second vehicle and identified 46-year-old Ryan Gould as the driver, according to HCSO.
The investigation led deputies to recover illegal drugs, the sheriff’s office said.
Cregan faces a charge of grand theft motor vehicle, along with multiple drug-related charges. Gould faces trafficking and other drug charges.
