3 arrested after parking garage shooting in downtown Orlando, police say
ORLANDO, Fla. —
Police responded to a shooting early Sunday at the Liberty Parking Garage on E. Pine Street in downtown Orlando, the department said.
According to officers, two vehicles were caught as they attempted to flee from the garage just before 2:30 a.m.
An altercation between two groups escalated from a physical fight into gunfire, the Orlando Police Department said.
Three people were arrested at the scene. Michael Espinoza, 20, Isaiah Serraj, 20, and Charlie Lopez, 21, were all taken into custody on different charges.
Officers said one of the individuals retrieved a firearm, and the weapon was discharged during the fight.
No one was hurt, police said.
OPD said they recovered two firearms.
This remains an active investigation.
