ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. — A Jacksonville man is being held without bond after authorities say he failed to report a change of address as required by North Carolina’s sex offender registration laws.

Phoenix Kamp, 34, was arrested July 31 by the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office. He is charged with felony failure to register as a sex offender.

According to charging documents, Kamp was required to notify the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office of an address change but allegedly failed to do so. The alleged violation occurred July 29.

Kamp remains in the Onslow County Jail without bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Monday, Aug. 3.
