Scattered inland storms Monday; Stormy week ahead
Rain chances will trend even higher toward the second half of the work week.

While a few coastal downpours are expected Monday morning, scattered storms will target areas east of I-75 heading into the late afternoon. Storms will bring the threat for heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds.

Expect even higher storm chances toward the second half of the work week. By Wednesday, an east wind returns to the forecast. This will favor coastal storms by the late afternoon and evening. Keep the umbrella handy as August is typically our wettest month of the year.
In the tropics, no development is expected over the next seven days. The first hurricane of the season typically forms by August 11.
