Tampa Bay Lightning star Brayden Point puts South Tampa home on the market

Tampa Bay Lightning’s elite playoff scorer Brayden Point is looking to score off the ice with his South Tampa mansion.

Located in Sunset Park, the back-to-back Stanley Cup champ purchased the home for $2,25 million in November of 2019, a couple months after the Lightning re-signed Point to a three-year, $20.25 million extension.

The 6,011-square-foot “British West Indies-inspired home” comes with five bedrooms and six bathrooms, as well as a chef’s kitchen equipped with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, a heated saltwater pool with spa and sun shelf, an outdoor kitchen, a three car garage, and more, says the listing.

Drafted in 2014, Point was a key figure in securing back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Lightning in 2020 and 2021. Not only did the center lead the team in playoff goals during both runs, Point also scored the Stanley Cup-clinching goal of the 2020 Stanley Cup Final.

It’s unclear exactly why Point is looking to sell his South Tampa home. The Canadian is currently locked in to an eight-year, $76 million extension with the Lightning, which he signed back in July of 2021.

The Point house is currently asking $3,55 million, and the listing agent is Allan Mezrah of the Toni Everett Company.
