Cape Coral launches fundraiser to build Florida’s tallest free-standing flagpole

The City of Cape Coral is launching a fundraiser to build the tallest, free-standing American flagpole in Florida.The “Raise the Flag” fundraiser will fund a flag that sits on a 250-foot pole near the Veterans Memorial Monument at Bernice Braden Park to mark the United States’ 250th birthday, which is next year.
