Police investigate double shooting in Hialeah
HIALEAH, Fla. — Two people were killed after a shooting at an apartment complex in Hialeah on Thursday afternoon, a police spokesperson said.
Authorities responded to a building in the 2500 block of West 67th Place, within the Lago Grande complex, at around 3 p.m.
Lt. Eddie Rodriguez, a Hialeah Police Department spokesperson, said the two victims were adults.
A Miami-Dade Fire Rescue helicopter took one patient to a hospital; it was unclear whether that was a third victim or one of the two who died.
Authorities have not yet said what led up to the shooting. Rodriguez said at around 3:30 p.m. that he had arrived at the scene and was working to gather additional details.
