A large investigation took place in southwest Miami-Dade after a man’s body was found early Wednesday morning, according to officials.

Few details have been released by officials, but the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to reports of an unresponsive man in the area of Southwest 157th Avenue and 160th Street just before 6:30 a.m.

The MDSO said that the Homicide Bureau has since taken over the death investigation, and no foul play was suspected.

Police escort ambulance to Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner’s Office

Video showed countless first responders and investigators at the scene, and police officers riding motorcycles were seen escorting a a Miami-Dade Fire Rescue ambulance away from the area.

Police officers blocked off streets and roads as the ambulance moved through the area, and traffic was stopped on the Florida’s Turnpike and Dolphin Expressway.

Police officers and firefighters were seen lining the street near the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office in Miami.

Roads have since been reopened, but the investigation is ongoing.
