Kahwa Coffee has moved into a 24,742-square-foot headquarters in St. Petersburg, expanding from a 14,000-square-foot facility after seven years in its previous home.
The building at 4001 35th St. N. houses the company’s roasting operation, production space, corporate offices and a dedicated training center.
Kahwa renovated the property before moving in, adding propane infrastructure for roasting equipment, new roll-up doors, a separation between production and office space, and a replica café for employee training and coffee education classes.
Kahwa Coffee relocated its roasting, production and corporate headquarters to a larger St. Petersburg facility.
“We are excited for this move and looking forward to continued expansion, thanks to this new building,” co-founder Raphael Perrier said.
Founded in 2006, Kahwa is Florida’s largest independent coffee roaster. The company operates more than 15 cafés in Tampa, Sarasota and Texas, supplies coffee to 26 Publix locations and serves more than 1,000 wholesale accounts.
Dominic Hewitt of Colliers represented landlord Legacy Capital Partners in the lease, while David M. Kramer, CCIM, of Pridgen Realty represented Kahwa. The headquarters is in Petersburg Commerce Center, a three-building industrial park in St. Petersburg.
