Warm, humid start before storms develop this afternoon
ORLANDO, Fla. —
Another warm and sticky start is on tap, with afternoon highs climbing to around 90 degrees.
Showers and thunderstorms will develop earlier than the past few days, with the first storms expected between 2 and 4 p.m. across the Orlando metro before shifting toward the west coast through the evening.
Looking ahead, a tropical wave — not expected to develop into a tropical system — will bring a surge of tropical moisture Friday and Saturday, leading to higher rain and storm chances.
Rain chances then gradually decrease Sunday and continue trending lower into next week.
