St. Lucie County woman accused in $7 million fraud case as investigation continues
ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. —
New developments are emerging in a major fraud investigation on the Treasure Coast that investigators say cost a local business millions of dollars.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office recently searched the Indian River Estates home of Laura Grasso as part of its ongoing investigation into the Southern Truss fraud case.
According to investigators, Grasso and two other employees are accused of stealing approximately $7 million from Southern Truss over a seven-year period. Detectives say the money was allegedly used for personal expenses, including luxury vacations, jewelry purchases and high-end vehicles.
Authorities say the search warrant was executed to gather additional evidence connected to the case as the investigation moves forward.
Grasso is facing multiple charges, including grand theft and racketeering. She also faces several other charges related to the alleged scheme.
The investigation remains active, and authorities have not released additional details about the evidence collected during the search.
Southern Truss is a well-known truss manufacturing company based in St. Lucie County.
