FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Fort Lauderdale police say they’ve arrested a woman in the shooting death of a 32-year-old man in the city’s Lauderdale Manors neighborhood back in July.
Investigators said Mike Menard was found shot dead in his car in the 1300 block of Northwest 13th Court in the early morning hours of July 8.
On Friday, Fort Lauderdale police announced the arrest of Candacia Walker, 33, on a first-degree murder charge.
Records show she was booked into the Broward Main Jail on Thursday, where she was being held without bond.
Police did not provide any additional details on Friday, including information about a motive or what led them to arrest Walker.
