Horror-musical ‘Carrie’ takes center stage at The Belle Theater in Cape Coral

CAPE CORAL, Fla. —
The Belle Theater in Cape Coral will host “Carrie: The Musical,” a rock adaptation of Stephen King’s best-selling novel and the 1976 film, starting August 7.
The production tells the story of Carrie, a shy, outcast teenage girl who discovers she has extraordinary telekinetic powers while dealing with bullying at school and an oppressive home life.
As she longs for acceptance and a chance to belong, a cruel prank at her senior prom unleashes devastating consequences.
The musical explores themes of identity, compassion, and the lasting impact of cruelty. It contains adult language, themes, and content that are not suitable for all audiences.
The star tasked with taking on the role of Carrie (Sophia Brooke) joined us in studio alongside her friend Sue (Emily Feichthaler), telling us how the musical keeps the horror aspects.
