We love going to Universal Orlando during the holidays. While it might not be as popular as Disney World, Universal goes all out with holiday decor, parades, and nighttime shows, too.

Universal Orlando just announced that its holiday season will run from November 14th, 2026, to January 3rd, 2027. Now, let’s unwrap what Universal has to offer this winter!

Universal Orlando has confirmed that holiday decorations are returning for 2026. In addition to the usual decor, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk and SUPER NINTENDO WORLD in Epic Universe will get brand-new festive decorations! We can’t wait to see how the Berkians and the Mushroom Kingdom decorate for Christmas.

The iconic Grinchmas is returning to Seuss Landing at Islands of Adventure, where you can enjoy the “Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular,” a live stage show based on the Dr. Seuss classic book. Plus, you can meet the mean one himself, The Grinch, and stroll the dazzling Who-Ville Tree Lot while it’s decorated for Christmas.

You can share holiday cheer at Universal Studios Florida with the return of Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s. The nightly parade features larger-than-life balloons alongside elaborately themed floats inspired by beloved characters from Despicable Me, Shrek, and Madagascar, plus some timeless holiday favorites. The festive parade has a grand finale of a Christmas tree lighting led by Santa Claus himself!

To end your night at Islands of Adventure, you can catch The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade. This is a nighttime spectacular made of fireworks, projections, and special effects against the majestic Hogwarts Castle, inspired by beloved holiday moments from the Harry Potter films.
