A Hollywood man is facing an attempted murder charge after allegedly stabbing another man inside the Blue Martini in Fort Lauderdale on Thursday night, police said.
Lawrence Edmonson, 52, was held in the Broward Main Jail as of Friday.
Multiple customers at the bar, located at 2432 E Sunrise Blvd. at the Galleria mall, called 911 shortly after 10:30 p.m., police department spokesperson Casey Liening said in an email Friday afternoon. Officers when they arrived found a man who had been stabbed multiple times.
The man was taken to Broward Health Medical Center with serious injuries but was expected to recover, Liening said.
Before the stabbing, Edmonson and the man had been in a fight, she said, which left Edmonson with minor injuries.
Edmonson left the bar and license plate cameras found his car, which officers used a grappler net to stop, according to the police department.
Court records with additional information were not available Friday.
