A woman has been arrested on a murder charge in connection with the fatal shooting of a man inside a car in Fort Lauderdale last month, police said.
Candacia Cyneise Walker, 33, was arrested Thursday on a first-degree murder charge in the July 8 shooting of 32-year-old Mike Menard, according to Fort Lauderdale Police and Broward jail records.
Menard had been found shot to death inside his vehicle in the 1300 block of Northwest 13th Court.
Video from the scene showed a vehicle with a shattered driver’s side window that appeared to have been pierced by bullets.
Surveillance video in the area captured the shooting.
Back-to-back gunshots were heard in the background, and before that, a man was seen running up to the victim’s car with a gun.
Police haven’t explained how Walker was connected to the shooting or said if any other arrests have been made.
Walker was being held without bond Friday. Attorney information wasn’t available.
