An investigation was underway after a man who was found lying in a Pompano Beach roadway early Thursday died, authorities said.
Deputies had responded to a report of a man lying in the roadway in the 2500 block of North Dixie Highway around 3:30 a.m., Broward Sheriff’s Office officials said.
The man was taken to Broward Health North were he was pronounced dead. His identity hasn’t been released.
Video showed deputies at the scene with a bicycle on the ground nearby.
Officials haven’t said whether they’re investigating the incident as a hit-and-run but said Homicide Unit detectives are investigating.
