ORLANDO, Fla. — One of the most buzzed-about artists from Orlando’s popular IMMERSE festival has led to a spinoff performance.
“These 12 singers and this four-piece band create sounds that, frankly, I have not heard anyone else create,” Creative City Project founder Cole Nesmith said. Creative City Project curates and produces IMMERSE annually — a massive, multisensory performing and interactive arts festival that transforms the streets and public spaces of downtown Orlando into an artistic playground.
An Evening with Vocal Collective reimagines beloved songs spanning generations, from the iconic sounds of Earth, Wind & Fire, Michael Jackson — and even Beyoncé.
Chris Keough, Orlando Vocal Collective’s founder and director, said, “We’re here to give you all feelings that you love — joy, nostalgia, feelings of togetherness, community.”
He describes the vibe as having thrilling harmonies and world-class lead vocals. The 75-minute performances started Thursday and continue only through Saturday night, August 8, at 7 p.m.
The show takes place at 1010 West in the heart of downtown Orlando. We were told the show’s run had sold out, so bonus tickets have been added.
