Man caught on video kicking his girlfriend’s dog
ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. —
St. Lucie County deputies arrested a Port St. Lucie man Friday for animal cruelty after a video showing him kicking his girlfriend’s dog in a pool area began circulating on social media.
The video appears to show a man kicking a dog in a pool area. The sheriff’s office said people began tagging them after the video first began making the rounds online last week.
The sheriff’s office said 68-year-old Ricky Lee Schieferstein of Port St. Lucie was arrested and is facing an animal cruelty charge. He was released this afternoon on a $7,500 bond.
Officials are reminding the public not to tag them when they see videos like this on social media. Instead, they advise calling and reporting the details directly.
