Suspicious package found at FBI building on Gate Parkway shuts down traffic

FBI officials said traffic on Gate Parkway was briefly shut down.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A suspicious package found at the FBI’s Jacksonville building on Gate Parkway shut down traffic as authorities investigated the incident, FBI officials said.

The package was found on property at the FBI’s Jacksonville campus on Gate Parkway. Officials said traffic was closed for a short time around 1:45 p.m., and the scene has since been cleared. 

It’s unclear at this time what the package was or if it was associated with any threat. JSO officers assisted in the investigation.
