Art the Clown is taking over the Terror Tram at Universal Studios Hollywood for Halloween Horror Nights 2026.
The announcement was made during the Halloween Horror Nights panel at Midsummer Scream 2026, where Creative Director John Murdy revealed that the infamous killer from the Terrifier franchise will serve as the host of this year’s Terror Tram experience.
“Terror Tram starring Art the Clown” will bring Art to Universal Studios Hollywood’s historic backlot, where his arrival comes with a twisted holiday theme. According to Universal, Art arrives with a blood-soaked bag of presents ready to celebrate Christmas… only to discover that he’s a few months early.
So instead, Art hijacks the Terror Tram and turns the backlot into his own demented holiday celebration.
Ice Nine Kills will also be involved in the experience, creating new music for the Terror Tram that puts a “darker twist on classic Christmas songs.”
Universal also teases that Art the Clown may also lurk elsewhere throughout Universal Studios Hollywood during Halloween Horror Nights, giving guests the chance to encounter him in unexpected locations.
Terror Tram starring Art the Clown joins the growing lineup for Halloween Horror Nights 2026 at Universal Studios Hollywood, which begins Thursday, September 3 and runs select nights through Sunday, November 1.
