The weekend before Monday’s drawing for the gargantuan Powerball jackpot, five Florida Lottery major money draw game players hit for lesser big prizes.

On Saturday, nobody found all the right numbers for the Powerball drawing, pushing that jackpot to $905 million for Monday’s drawing. No one hit Florida Lotto’s six numbers, either.

Sunday’s Fantasy 5 evening drawing came up 9, 14, 24, 27 and 28, the Quick Pick ticket choice by the machine at a Cape Coral Publix, 3015 Pine Island Rd. That ticket’s holder has a financial situation improved by $97,898.

Enough players hit Saturday’s Fantasy 5 evening draw that brought the rare occasion of a midday draw jackpot winner getting more than an evening draw winner.

Saturday’s evening draw numbers, — 2, 10, 15, 16, 32 — were on Quick Pick tickets from Mr. & Mrs. Gift, 7105 W. 12th Ave. in Hialeah; the Longwood Publix at 2381 W. State Rd. 434; and the Sunoco at 790 N. Nova Rd. in Daytona Beach. The three-way split left each ticket as a $42,038 winner.

Only one ticket matched Saturday’s midday draw numbers of 4, 6, 10, 19 and 21. Those numbers were chosen by a player at the Crestview Publix, 1355 N. Ferdon Blvd., and worth $60,758.

These tickets must be cashed at one of the nine Florida Lottery district offices. The Miami office is in Miami Lakes, 14621 Oak Ln., and is open 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Appointments, which are not required, can be made at 305-364-3080 or MIARC@flalottery.com.
