August 10, 2026 – A new group called DeFlock St. Pete is organizing opposition to St. Petersburg’s use of Flock automatic license plate reader cameras, citing civil rights concerns. The group will hold an educational meeting Saturday, Aug. 15 at 11:30 a.m. at the Barack Obama Library to explain the technology, its concerns and what residents can do about it.
