Two cities are celebrating a century.

Founded by one man with a passion for flight, each has a unique origin story.

Local 10 goes sky high to show you Miami Springs, a city that sits adjacent to a bustling Miami International Airport and has played a major role in the aviation industry. Hear from historians, airline workers and business owners who make the city what it is today.

The city of Opa-locka was inspired by a collection of folk tales known as The Arabian Nights, filled with eye-popping architecture and a sense of determination. A Grammy-nominated artist, longtime residents, and preservationists help tell the story.

Join us for “Celebrating a Century: Miami Springs,” and “Celebrating a Century: Opa-locka,” starting Monday at 8p.m. on Local 10.
