JACKSONVILLE – A lot has changed for Jarrian Jones since he was drafted by the Jaguars. Those changes include himself.
Jones has always been confident in his abilities, but the third-year cornerback has taken great strides since draft night a few years ago due to the growth and development he has displayed. That same growth and development has made Jones one of the top stories of 2026 Training Camp thus far.
“When I came in my rookie year, I watched film, but I was more like, ‘I was better than you. Like I am a better football player than you. I am going to have more dog in me than you.’ I have all that,” Jones said following Day 9 of 2026 Training Camp.
“Now it is more honing in on that, keeping that, but like just watching a lot more film and understand how offenses try to attack me.
“That’s kind of like where my growth has been mentally.”
Jones has been a standout performer for the Jaguars’ secondary since training camp began in late July. He is coming off a strong 2025 season where he appeared in all 17 games (three starts) and recorded 43 tackles (31 solo), including six for loss and eight passes defensed. He also intercepted three passes, the third-most on the team.
