TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Sunshine Hope Rise Foundation, a recently launched Tallahassee nonprofit, is working to expand educational opportunities and provide support to underserved communities.
The foundation connects students with resources to further their education and offers scholarships and financial assistance to families in need.
“Children are our future, so educating them is important,” said Lally Mosley, president of the Sunshine Hope Rise Foundation. “There is a need for education here in Tallahassee because our community is very diverse and there are still underserved areas that we’d like to reach out and uplift education.”
The organization is raising money for its mission through an upcoming volleyball tournament.

Vice President Michelle Riley said the event is also an opportunity to bring people together and give back.
“We want to show the world that we can come together in a fun, positive way with just having family and friends come together and bringing in that purpose of servanthood,” Riley said.
Registration is $15 per person, with proceeds supporting the foundation’s educational initiatives and scholarships for underserved communities.
The tournament will be held Saturday, August 15, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Northside Community Center in Tallahassee.
