JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – A man is now locked up after a Jacksonville shooting killed one and left another with serious injuries five years ago.
US Marshals arrested Christopher Jackson in Georgia on Thursday. He will soon be extradited to Jacksonville.
Back on October 24, 2021, Dominique Rhodes was shot and killed at the Sturgeon City Event Center. Police said a second victim, Alexis Ramsay, was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The shooting happened during a Halloween event that Sturgeon City officials said was misrepresented as a birthday party of about 100 people.
The gathering later turned into Spook Fest 2021, according to a Facebook post.

Jackson remains in jail without bond.
