Miami Heat to play Boston Celtics on Christmas Day; watch the game on WPBF 25

The Miami Heat will play on Christmas Day, and you can watch the game on WPBF 25.
The NBA announced on Tuesday, Aug. 11, that the Miami Heat are one of 10 teams that will play on Christmas Day.
The five-game Christmas Day schedule was released on Tuesday.

Miami will travel north to play the Boston Celtics with game time set for 2:30 p.m. at TD Garden.
Viewers in Palm Beach, Martin, Okeechobee, St. Lucie and Indian River counties can watch the game on WPBF 25 along with the other Christmas Day games on Friday, Dec. 25, beginning at noon.

The Heat bring their revamped roster to Boston, which includes the addition of two-time NBA Most Valuable Player award winner and 2021 NBA Champion Giannis Antetokounmpo following a trade with the Milwaukee Bucks in July.
Antetokounmpo will team up with Bam Adebayo, who has played his entire NBA career in a Miami Heat uniform dating back to 2017.

Two years after winning the NBA championship, Boston has veteran players including Jayson Tatum, Mike Conley, and Paul George.

The Heat will make their 15th all-time appearance on Christmas Day. Miami’s last Christmas Day game was in 2023 – a 119-113 victory against the Philadelphia 76ers in Miami.

Since their first game on Christmas Day at the Chicago Bulls in 1997, the Miami Heat have an impressive 12-win and two-loss record on Christmas Day.
OPENING NIGHT
The NBA also announced on Tuesday the Miami Heat will host the Minnesota Timberwolves to begin the 2026-27 season on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 7:30 p.m. inside the Kaseya Center in Miami.
