Heat advisory for east Central Florida begins at 10a – Orlando Sentinel

Wednesday is hot and humid with heat indices peaking in the triple digits.

East Central Florida is under a heat advisory from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to NWS Melbourne.

Temperature highs are in the high-90s with peak heat indices ranging from 108 to 112 degrees.

Isolated to scattered showers and storms are expected in the afternoon.

Main hazards include frequent lightning, gusty winds and heavy rainfall.
