The Cake Girl is has no time to chill and is back at it again with fresh cupcakes for 813 Day.
The Carrollwood bakery celebrates Tampa’s unofficial holiday by offering BOGO deals on cupcakes, where customers can buy a dozen mini cupcakes and get half-a-dozen for free.
The first eight customers through the doors at 14851 N Dale Mabry Hwy. get a free six pack of mini cupcakes.
The 813 Day offers caps off a busy summer for Lavalee, who just baked another cake for hip-hop megastar Cardi B who was celebrating the birthday of her firstborn Kulture, who turned eight last month.
The four-tier Care Bares-inspired custom cake took the Cake Girl team 30 hours to create and included more than 700 individually-handcrafted sugar flowers, a rep for Lavallee told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay.
“It was an honor to be trusted with such a special occasion again this year,” Lavallee added. “I always enjoy working with her to bring her dreams to reality. I know how special her kids are to her, and that is something I take very seriously.”
