TAMPA, Fla. — This weekend, some of the strongest, toughest, fiercest competitors will take over the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa.

Fit Fest, the largest sports festival and fitness expo in Florida, happens on Saturday and Sunday (Aug. 15-16).

Vendors will showcase the latest in cutting-edge fitness gear. The event will also feature athletes competing in a myriad of events.

Organizers are promising world-class competitions in CrossFit, Strongman, Powerlifting, Jiu-Jitsu and Weightlifting.

There will also be classes, workshops and a KidsZone.

The event runs from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on both weekend days, inside the Expo Hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds.
