Arrest made in Altamonte Springs homicide investigation, sheriff’s office says
SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. —
An arrest has been made in a homicide investigation out of the Altamonte Springs area that began last week, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies initially responded Aug. 4 to a home in the 800 block of Campello Street, in unincorporated Altamonte Springs, reporting a man was found dead on the ground outside.
Within several days, the sheriff’s office announced it was investigating the man’s death as a homicide.
Thursday, the sheriff’s office announced it had arrested Korri Lowery, 51, who faces a charge of second-degree murder in connection to the homicide.

“While forensic testing and evidence processing remain ongoing, detectives identified Lowery as the suspect through evidence gathered during the investigation, including the development of a timeline that linked Lowery to the crime,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement, adding the suspect and victim were related to one another.
The investigation is said to be active and ongoing, according to the release.
The identity of the victim was not to be released at the time of this report, the sheriff’s office said.
