A week before the first home preseason game, the city issued a permit Thursday for the Jacksonville Jaguars to add temporary seating at an estimated project cost of $2.12 million. 

The project comes as the city and the NFL franchise renovate EverBank Stadium into the “Stadium of the Future.”

The seating is for the upper and lower club risers in the East and West Clubs at the Downtown stadium.
