TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Pyramid Players are getting ready to take the stage this weekend and they’re expecting a packed house for their annual musical.
“I am so happy to get hyped up,” Javeda Gamble, who is on the Dance Team, said. “My whole family’s going to be here. There’s going to be a lot of people.”
“Radio Underground” is a play written and performed by adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are excited to show the community what they can do.

The Pyramid Players have been hard at work rehearsing for the big show, which is a futuristic journey into a place called Neo City at a time when computers run the world.
AI had banished music until a construction worker named Jax discovered a beautiful relic of the past … a juke box.
Patrick Doherty is in the cast each year and this year is playing the construction boss, “Briggs,”
“It keeps me being happy,” Doherty said.
These artists are now ready to lift the curtain on “Radio Underground” Saturday night at The Moon.
“You have lots of fun and you enjoy the show,” Derrick Grimsley, who plays Riff, said.
The crowd, the lights and the applause are big confidence boosters for many of the performers and a big friendship booster, too.
“Radio Underground” is a night of retro rock anthems and a chance for the Pyramid Players to showcase their creativity, talents and abilities.
“We’re all working together and we’re going to show all of you guys who we really are and what we do and what’s inside of us counts… and thank you,” Elizabeth Haines said. Haines is playing the role of “Hook.”
