PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – A Florida man has been arrested in Pitt County after warrants say he stole a tractor-trailer.
According to warrants, 51-year-old Antonio James from Miramar, Florida, was arrested on Wednesday by the State Highway Patrol.
Documents show James possessed a 2020 Wabash National 53-foot dry van that was the property of Tri Star Logistics. Warrants go on to say that the stolen dry van was worth $7000.
Court documents say that James is on federal probation out of Florida and is not a resident of North Carolina.
James’ first court appearance was set for Thursday, where he received a secured bond of $100,000.
